Trials and Suffering are no Match for our King

Hey y’all. I will probably write a post more on this later, but for now let us just say that my week was really, really hard. It has been a trial and a struggle, and it is not over yet. My mom was in the hospital (ICU) from Sunday morning to Thursday night, and just because she is home does not mean she is better. I have tried so very hard to cling to Christ, in these times, I know I must, but oh I find it so very hard. I know He is great, I know He is good, I know He is in control and has a great plan but I find it hard to convince myself of that and to truly trust it. This week, I wanted to cling to Him, even if I did not feel like it, so I prayed and studied the Word. Maybe I didn’t do it as much as I should have, but I did it, and I am doing it now. For me, in times like these I barely know what to pray for, but sometimes the best thing for me is just to know that God is in control and that I am not. Sometimes it gives me just enough comfort to remember just how great and AWESOME He is and that HE is my KING and my FATHER. So today, I just want to talk about how great our Savior is and how in CONTROL and AMAZING He is!! So my dear friend, if you are going through something and struggling to cling to Christ, I pray that this encourages you. Even if you are not going through something I hope you are encouraged by this, we all need a reminder.

One thing that I struggle with, is trying to take things in my own hands, and trying to be strong on my own during these trials. I forget that it is ok to be weak because that is when God lifts us up and gives us peace and comfort. I forget that God is in control and He is perfect and has a beautiful and wonderful plan for me and my family. GOD is in control and does a much better job than I could dream of! It is ok to be weak, cry, and admit that you are afraid. He can’t wipe the tears till they fall, and he can’t take away the fears till we show him our nightmares. And how he wants to comfort and guide us closer to Him! I love this verse.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of  Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For  when I am weak, then I am strong.”

He has also planned out every event in your life, even before you were born. Even when the earth was first created, He knew what would take place. Isn’t that just crazy and so cool!!! And not only does He have a plan for your life, but he has a good and perfect plan! He wants what is best and good for you! And yes, sometimes what is best for you is the hardest and most unfair thing, but in the end, it will be beautiful, if you hold fast to Christ. God is indeed a loving God, but nowhere in the Bible  does it say He is fair, but He is just and good, and that is so much better, though it can be very difficult. So don’t listen to the lies of Satan who wants the worst for you! Satan wants your demise, no matter how sweet his lies sound! So RUN to Christ when you feel like giving up, and don’t keep everything in the dark as Satan wants!

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. “

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in  your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
